Well, if you missed my BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, go check it out!
We are so excited to be welcoming Baby 3 into the Joyner family! This pregnancy, not unlike my others, has gone really well! I have felt great, sleeping fine, and eating well (maybe too well?? Haha!). My only complaint is that I am exhausted a lot of the time. But even that, I think I have gotten used to it and it doesn’t seem to be bothering me *as much* anymore. Hoping that I have more energy in the next couple of weeks!
This time around, I am teaming up with Mama On A Green Mission to share my Pregnancy Journals as we go along. She is about 5 weeks ahead of me, so I am excited to be going through this with her! I am also excited to get to see “what’s coming” for me as I read her journals.
Baby’s Size This Week:
(Information from BabyCenter.com) Fingerprints have formed on your baby’s tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you’re having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (about the size of a pea pod) and weighs nearly an ounce.
How Am I Feeling?
I kind of addressed this in the first paragraph a bit. I LOVE being pregnant! It’s fun, and easy for me. I have never been sick a day of pregnancy. So far, this pregnancy is no exception! Things are going well! Other than being tired much of the time, I have nothing to complain about! Everything is going wonderfully!
Avoid food?! Never! Haha! Seriously though, food is not a problem right now. I am not necessarily avoiding anything. I also don’t HAVE TO HAVE anything. I love chocolate, but that’s not necessarily a pregnancy thing, that’s a “life” thing! Really, it depends on that day. Sometimes I really want peanut M&M’s. Sometimes I want chips and dip. The other night I wanted popcorn. But nothing weird… Yet…
Sleeping is a little different this time, actually. Now that I sit and think about it. It’s nothing to complain about, really. But I have never had this problem, pregnant or not.
I am finding that if I wake up in the middle of the night it takes me a LONG time to get back to sleep! It’s weird, because it’s never happened before. I DO get back to sleep eventually. But one night it was like 2 hours before I did. I just lay there and think. Iv’e always been the type that the second my head hits the pillow I am asleep. I generally go to sleep fine, but if I am woken up, it’s hard to get back to sleep.
Not feeling it yet. Excited for this time though! I LOVE to feel baby move!
Before I got pregnant I was at 140 lbs. I have, in the last 13 weeks, gained 7 pounds. I am hoping to NOT gain as much this pregnancy as I did with my last one. I know it’s healthy to gain, and I want to be healthy, but I also don’t want to gain *too* much.
I just had my second appointment this morning. Baby sounded great with a heart beat of 163 beats per minute. I have another one in 4 weeks.
What Happened This Week?
We just got back from our Florida Vacation this past Saturday night. We had a blast! It was a fantastic trip! Very relaxing and fun. We sat in the sun, sand, and played in the water! just perfect. All while we were gone, there was a BUNCH of rain in Colorado (I’m sure you’ve heard about some of it). There has been A LOT of flooding and A LOT of loss!! It really is so super sad! When we landed at the airport Saturday night, we weren’t even sure if we’d make it home! We did! Thank God!! Our home is safe! But there are many people that live VERY CLOSE to us that have lost a lot, don’t have running water, or electricity, and have big messes to clean up. I count our blessings to be MANY! It has been an eventful week! Much fun, some scary!
Something That Upset Me:
I wasn’t really upset this week. We had a great week on vacation. I was saddened to see all of the flood damage all over the news and Facebook. It’s hard to imagine unless you really see it. And the pictures just don’t do it justice. There is SO MUCH damage! And I am sad for those that have lost everything!
Something I Am Looking Forward To:
Again, I love being pregnant. I love every step of the way! It’s all so exciting! I guess one thing that I am really excited for “next” is to feel the baby!! I love those little flutters! I can’t wait to feel them!!
Boy Or Girl?
I am excited to announce that we are TEAM GREEN! We have been with the other two, we will be again with this one! So, you will know shortly after we do! But it won’t be until the baby is here!!
Going on the “typical” 40 week pregnancy, I have 27 weeks left. I have, with both of the others, gone a week over due and been induced, so I honestly expect the same thing to happen this time. We will see! Prayers for a healthy, full term, smooth pregnancy are always appreciated!
I am so excited to be starting the pregnancy journals! I love having these “written” so I can look back on them in the future! Mama On A Green Mission and I are excited to be walking this pregnancy together!
